Metaverse will affect all sectors<\/p>
At the conference titled \u201cMetaverse and the Future of Education with Artificial Intelligence\u201d organized by Gaziantep Islamic Science and Technology University; Businessman, Researcher, Author and also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Turkey Thought Platform Ta\u015fk\u0131n Ko\u00e7ak noted that the Metaverse universe will affect all sectors in the near future. Ko\u00e7ak stated that the Metaverse universes consist of Internet, Web 3.0, XR (VR, AR, MR), Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence elements.<\/p>
The program held in the Rectorate Conference Hall was attended by Gaziantep Islamic Science and Technology University (G\u0130BT\u00dc) Rector Prof. Dr. \u015eehmus Demir, Ministry of National Education (MEB) Special Education and Guidance General Manager Mehmet Nezir G\u00fcl, Ministry of National Education (MEB) Monitoring and Evaluation Head Mustafa Y\u0131ld\u0131z, Gaziantep Provincial Director of National Education Yasin Tepe, \u015eahinbey District Director of National Education Erdal K\u0131l\u0131n\u00e7, invited guests, academic and administrative personnel and students.<\/p>
METAVERSE IS A REALITY OF TODAY<\/p>
G\u0130BT\u00dc Rector Prof. Dr. \u015eehmus Demir, who made the opening speech of the program, stated that Metaverse is a reality of today. Demir said, \u201cMetaverse creates educational environments that offer experiential learning opportunities where students and teachers can interact in real time in virtual worlds. Students can develop skills that they can use in real life by collaborating with other students and experts around the world. Thanks to Metaverse and artificial intelligence, high-quality education opportunities can be provided to more students around the world. This helps everyone have equal opportunities regardless of geographical location, economic status and physical disabilities.\u201d<\/p>
UNIVERSITIES THANKS TO METAVERSE<\/p>
Demir, who argued that Metaverse and artificial intelligence will also have a significant impact on the future of universities, said: \u201cHere are some predictions about what kind of changes these technologies can lead to in university education: Thanks to Metaverse, universities can create virtual campuses where they can reach students around the world. This provides educational opportunities beyond physical boundaries at low costs, allowing more students to be reached.<\/p>
With the Metaverse and artificial intelligence, universities can make distance education programs more effective and interactive. This contributes to increasing access to education by offering students more flexible learning options. The Metaverse creates environments where students and faculty members can collaborate worldwide. This encourages the sharing of information and the development of innovative projects between different countries and disciplines. Artificial intelligence can help make research conducted at universities more effective and efficient. It is possible to say that artificial intelligence also includes very dangerous dimensions. For proper use, we need to have this technology as a country in a serious way.\u201d<\/p>
MANY NEW BUSINESS LINES HAVE EMERGED<\/p>
Stating that the concept of the Metaverse was explained to the world by Mark Zuckerberg in October 2001, Ko\u00e7ak stated that according to 2030 estimates, the number of Metaverse users will reach 5 billion and its economic size will reach 13 trillion dollars. The Metaverse universes that form; Sharing important information about internet, web 3.0, xr (vr, ar, mr), Blockchain and artificial intelligence technologies, Ko\u00e7ak gave examples of the use of Metaverse in many areas, especially education, social, entertainment, tourism, sports, business, industry, finance and health. Stating that the boundaries of business life will be eliminated with Metaverse, Ta\u015fk\u0131n Ko\u00e7ak added that people will be able to work in areas such as stores or factories from their homes and that many new lines of business will emerge. Stating that the number of Metaverse users is 500 million even today, Ko\u00e7ak stated that 2030 will be the year when disruptive technologies will come.<\/p>
\u201cEDUCATION AND HEALTH SECTORS WILL BE RESHAPED WITH METAVERSE\u201d<\/p>
Ta\u015fk\u0131n Ko\u00e7ak stated that in the Metaverse universe, students will be able to receive education at the best universities in the world from where they are sitting. He stated that work is being done to create a \u201cMetaverse Campus\u201d environment for the new generation with a gamified and hologram education system. He emphasized that with the remote surgery systems to be implemented in the Metaverse universe in the health system, specialist doctors will be able to serve anywhere in the world from their current location.<\/p>

Ta\u015fk\u0131n Ko\u00e7ak, who also touched on the concept of Metaverse and Religion, stated that the Metaverse universe could be positive in terms of introducing Islam to the world. Ko\u00e7ak said, \u201cThe Metaverse can provide an environment where religious scholars from different countries can come together and discuss general issues.\u201d Emphasizing that the Metaverse can also be used in the training of clergy, Ko\u00e7ak stated that religious education and expression can be more effective with the ability to show holy places in a virtual environment close to reality thanks to developing technologies.
