Businessman, Researcher, Writer and Chairman of the Board of Turkey Thought Platform Ta\u015fk\u0131n Ko\u00e7ak, who was a speaker at the conference titled “How Metaverse and Artificial Intelligence Will Affect Our World” organized by our university, mentioned that the Metaverse universe will influence all sectors in the near future.<\/p>
The conference took place on March 5, 2024 at the Y\u00f6r\u00fck Ali Efe Hall of our University Atat\u00fcrk Congress Center; Our University Rector Prof. Dr. B\u00fclent Kent, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Nuh K\u0131l\u0131\u00e7 and Prof. Dr. Erkan Salan, Deputy General Secretary Prof. Dr. Bertan Akyol, Rector Advisor Dr. Lecturer Member Kemal Ramazan Hayk\u0131ran, institute directors, faculty deans, Turkish Thought Platform Chairman Ta\u015fk\u0131n Ko\u00e7ak and Board Members Mehmet \u015eerif Niziplio\u011flu, Abdurrahman Karan and Abdurrahman El Sellah, academic and administrative staff and students attended.<\/p>
In his presentation, Ta\u015fk\u0131n Ko\u00e7ak, who gave information about his work on Metaverse and artificial intelligence and the initiative of a company that exports software technologies, explained the history of Metaverse, which is rising around concepts such as augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR), and what kind of experience it will be like, with examples. Ko\u00e7ak, who defined artificial intelligence as ‘the intelligent child of man’, conveyed his predictions about what kind of social relations will be established in the future.<\/p>
Stating that Metaverse universes consist of Internet, Web 3.0, He gave examples of its use. Stating that the Metaverse concept was announced to the world by Mark Zuckerberg in October 2021, Ta\u015fk\u0131n Ko\u00e7ak stated that according to Citibank’s 2030 estimates, the number of Metaverse users will reach 5 billion and its economic size will reach 13 trillion dollars.<\/p>
The conference was attended by the Rector of our University, Prof. Dr. B\u00fclent Kent presented a certificate of appreciation to Ta\u015fk\u0131n Ko\u00e7ak and the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. It ended with the plaque presentation by \u0130smail B\u00f6\u011frek\u00e7i.<\/p>
